"A repertoire that requires exceptional performers, and finds them in Lorenzo Biguzzi"
— Stefano Campagnolo

"Lorenzo Biguzzi takes on the formidable challenge of interpreting rare repertoire, bringing full meaning to every stylistic nuance and overcoming immense technical demands"
— Classic Voice

"His approach to this repertoire is exemplary. Thanks to this gift, any composer fortunate enough to be performed by Biguzzi can rest assured that their work will resonate even with a wider audience"
— Il Fronimo

Released by Stradivarius, Turning Page explores Italian guitar literature of the last sixty years, positioning the album as a cultural watershed for contemporary music.

The program features two world premiere recordings: the title track by Nicola Sani, inspired by Jimmy Page's rock innovations, and Giorgio Colombo Taccani's Volto ritratto in silenzioso gelo (premiered by Biguzzi at the Accademia Chigiana). The journey continues with the evocative dialogues of Azio Corghi, the sensual rigor of Stefano Scodanibbio, and the innovative "sonic hacking" on J.S.Bach of Maurizio Pisati.

The album concludes with the theatrical virtuosity of Sylvano Bussotti's Ultima Rara for guitar and narrating voice. As Stefano Campagnolo notes: "Biguzzi's virtuosity here reaches its highest level, as he lends to the performance—as rarely happens—a refined voice and remarkable gesture."

The production of this project was made possible by the support of CIDIM (Italian National Music Council), the Accademia Musicale Chigiana, and the International Academy Foundation in Imola.
